Applying to Art Fairs
Periodically I will receive the question: How do you apply to art fairs? The answer is pretty simple, yet also somewhat complex.
Accepting Credit Cards
While I have made many changes to the display aspect of my art fair booth since my first show in 2012, one thing that hasn't changed is my acceptance of credit cards for payment for the purchase of my prints.
A Healthy Attitude
As is the case with any professional activity, selling your product at art fairs requires a healthy, energetic attitude.
Art is Not a Commodity
Fine art photography is not a commodity. It is unique to the artist, and thankfully, many understand this.
My Photography Methods
Over the course of the art fair season, within the Powder Hill Photography booth, I’ll be asked if I teach photography seminars. Currently, I do not.
Wisconsin and Beyond
As a dedicated landscape photographer, I am captivated by the land and what it offers. With a somewhat limited travel budget, my travels are often to locations easily reached in a day.
Color Calibration
One extremely important goal of mine has always been to consistently produce high quality, natural color fine art landscape prints.
