There are many great wildlife photographers - and I’m not one of them!

On a late afternoon in early August, I was standing along the eastern shoreline of Trout Lake, one of the largest lakes in Vilas County, northern Wisconsin.

While vacationing at Gulf State Park, Gulf Shores, Alabama in 2019 spring, I almost lost my camera. Thanks to an alert restaurant server, luckily that didn’t happen.

The colors of fall in the Wisconsin north woods can be mesmerizing at times. Such was the day when I visited this area of the state in mid-October.
