Basketball, soccer, and in general sports photography, constantly sees changing light conditions as players move across the court or field.

After using aperture priority for many years, I’ve now switched over the manual settings with auto ISO, self-correcting for the lighting conditions.

Life-long learning is journey, and has always been a philosophy to which I subscribe. As a self-taught landscape photographer, part of that education has come from reading.

There are many great wildlife photographers - and I’m not one of them!

On a late afternoon in early August, I was standing along the eastern shoreline of Trout Lake, one of the largest lakes in Vilas County, northern Wisconsin.

While vacationing at Gulf State Park, Gulf Shores, Alabama in 2019 spring, I almost lost my camera. Thanks to an alert restaurant server, luckily that didn’t happen.
