Reflections
A Show Stopper
When I display this image as a large Dura Plaq print within my art fair booth, it is a “showstopper”.
Because it is an abstract print, visitors either like it (and really like it) or are indifferent.
Either way, it stops people, if only for a moment. This image starts many conversations.
Is it a Painting?
Some viewers are convinced this image is a painting.
I explain that it is a photographic image, taken with my camera and lens.
Adding a little levity, I further explain; the only thing I can paint is my house, and then it has to be one color!
Always capturing Attention
After this short introduction of the print, the questioner typically asks about the image itself. What it is?
This is the reflection of a small bog lake in autumn, with only the water surface in the image.
At the larger size, captures a great deal of attention.
