Allequash Creek in Autumn

Allequash Creek with a yellow and golden autumn shoreline

Northwoods Colors

The colors of fall in the Wisconsin northwoods can be mesmerizing at times.

Such was the day when I visited the Allequash Creek, adjacent to Trout Lake near Boulder Junction, Wisconsin in mid-October.

Just Enough

The sky was cloudy that early afternoon, though allowing the sun to break through frequently.

Just enough to light the autumn trees.

Feel, Hear and Wondering?

Can you feel the autumn coolness starting to set in?

Do you hear the song of the stream running beneath your feet, as you are there looking into this image?

Do you find yourself wondering what is further upstream?
