Ripples go across the calm water of Patricia Lake in northern Wisconsin

Rippling Water

Glass-Calm Water

On a calm, July evening, I was standing on the shoreline of a small lake in northern Wisconsin.

Looking north, the evening shadows were covering the southern and western shore, while still illuminating the center of the lake and eastern shore.

The surface of the water was calm – glass-like in appearance.

At this location, there is a small private beach bordered by two piers.

A swimming raft is anchored further out.

I had taken a few pier images and a few with the swimming raft located just offshore.

Broken the Surface Stillness

Just as I was about to leave the area, a young family appeared on a pier to my right, complete with an inflatable raft.

They were excited, as this was to be their maiden voyage in their new boat.

Lowering the boat gently into the lake from the pier, the concentric ripples were generated and dispersed silently across the still lake.

The Image Appeared

As I observed this energy transformation over the surface water, suddenly this image appeared.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

and I do what I can do,
