Ponderosa Sunstar

Looking Up

Have you ever looked straight up into the trees and noticed something that wasn't present when viewing the tree horizontally?

Such was the case with this standing dead ponderosa pine out in Rocky Mtn Natl Park a few years ago.

Different View

From beneath its wonderful array of branches, (it was around 11am), the sun pierced through as a small laser of light.

Looking up, the sunstar simply appeared (no special effects added).

The sunstar turned a drab image into one of curiosity.

Becoming Someon'e’s Sunstar

Looking at this image, I think of how a simple random act of kindness, or something such as a compliment, could be a sunstar in someone's day.

It could be just the beam of light they need.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
