Lake Michigan casually washes over the sandy beach at Kohler-Andrae State Park, Sheboygan, Wisconsin

Beach Edge - Constantly Evolving

Short Story of Abstract

Here is the story behind the image above, titled “Beach Edge”.

Abstract images are in the category of love/hate.

One either really likes abstracts, or they don't.

There is hardly an in-between. (I'm one likes abstracts).

The Beach

The water at the top of the image is Lake Michigan.

The sand is the beach.

By virtue of the earlier wave action a depression was created with its crest at the water and beach intersection.

The slope declines inward at that point.

One Big Eraser

As the periodic waves gently washed over the crest, the water slowly migrated down face of the slope, washing away its previous movements before it dissipated into the sand.

It reminds me of a big eraser I had in school.

Like the water, the eraser removed my previous markings (in my case, wrong answers).

Unlike the water, I always managed to erase a large hole in the paper.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

"If you do what you can do,

and I do what I can do,

together, we can make a difference.”
