It was late autumn afternoon as I drove the beach area of Firefly Lake State Park, Sayner, Wisconsin.
Along the shoreline, these tall pines, accented with the color of the maples, lit up the scene..
With the setting sun (to the right) , the shadows became longer across the pine needle covered forest floor.
Envision standing along the shore within this image in October. Feel the cool afternoon breeze, hear the few remaining birds in the woods behind. It was hard to leave!
