Longs Peak rises above all other peaks in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, to a height of 14, 259 feet above sea level.
Although I’ve never climbed it, I know some who have. Having seen the photos of the routes shared by the park rangers at the Longs Peak park office, I know it’s not for me.
Ponderosa pines fill the mountainsides, with aspens dotted throughout. In the fall their autumn gold illuminates the mountainside.
