The Gulf Coast region of the United States is fasinating for its sandy beaches. The northern stretches of the Florida coast line have almost snow-white sand, whereas the Alabama coast – where I have been – is more of a light tan.
The images from the Florida Gulf Coast are from Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, Santa Rosa Beach (just east of Destin). The images from Alabama are from Gulf State Park, Gulf Shores, Alabama (located perhaps 35 or so miles west of Pensacola).
